Twisted Fate lane is mostly card discipline: blue card keeps your mana and single-target damage honest, red card plus Q fixes bad waves, and showing gold card too early makes your trade pattern much easier to read
Good TF games start when mid is already handled and both side lanes have to respect that you can arrive with the card pre-selected, because the pressure is the guaranteed gold-card arrival as much as the ult itself
Buy control wards, decide W before Destiny finishes, and gold-card the champion who is actually making the fight happen—even if that is the diver or support in front—since TF’s wins lean more on vision-backed, assist-heavy setups than on solo-kill heroics
Pre-pick when the destination already tells you the answer. If you are ulting onto a champion who must be locked immediately, have gold card ready before Destiny finishes so the play starts on arrival instead of one beat late. If you are landing for tower damage, a quick chunk, or mana-sensitive side pressure, blue card is often the cleaner choice. Red card is mostly for clumped targets or when the slow matters more than the stun. The mistake is cycling cards after you land and giving the target time to flash, dash, or separate from the wave you wanted to punish.
Upon killing a unit, Twisted Fate rolls his 'lucky' dice receiving 1 to 6 bonus gold.
Twisted Fate throws three cards, dealing damage to each enemy unit they pass through.
Twisted Fate chooses a magic card from his deck, and uses that for his next attack, causing bonus effects.
Every 4 attacks, Twisted Fate deals bonus damage. In addition, his Attack Speed is increased.
Twisted Fate predicts the fortunes of his foes, revealing all enemy champions and enabling the use of Gate, which teleports Twisted Fate to any target location in 1.5 seconds.
