Stop turning E into a warning ping: cast the mist late, take a bush or wall angle, and charge W only once the stun line is already short, because the obvious wall-mist into long W pattern is how Viego wastes ganks and slides into the delayed component timings that hurt him most.
Treat the first possession like a pause button, not a victory lap—take the corpse that gives you heal, safety, and a body worth wearing, then decide the next R instead of auto-snatching a flashy but useless target.
Viego needs a volunteer: his best fights start when an ally or overextended enemy cracks the first health bar for him, and from behind he usually gets more by shadowing the teammate who can start that damage than by trying to rescue every losing lane himself.
Play tighter and more reactively. Your job is to hover the lane or quadrant where someone can still start damage for you, even if that “start” is just the enemy overchasing, burning a dash, or trading too long on a wave. Skip the heroic first touch unless the target is already pinned. In skirmishes, let their front side spend first, then take the safest corpse that gives you health and a usable body. If nothing is breaking open, keep your camps clean, protect your buy timings, and be willing to give the first look on an objective rather than walking in as the obvious body they planned to kill first.
Enemies who fall before Viego become wraiths. By attacking a wraith, Viego temporarily seizes control of the dead enemy's body, healing for a percentage of his target's max health and gaining access to their basic abilities and items. He replaces their Ultimate with a free cast of his own.
Viego's spectral blade passively deals bonus percent current Health damage On-Hit and strikes twice vs. enemies he recently hit with an Ability, stealing Health.Viego can activate this Ability to thrust his zweihander forward, impaling enemies in front of him.
Viego charges up before dashing forward, releasing a ball of concentrated Black Mist that stuns the first enemy hit.
Viego commands the Black Mist to haunt and surround a piece of terrain. Viego can hide in the Mist as a wraith, gaining camouflage, Move Speed, and Attack Speed.
Viego teleports to a nearby location and executes an enemy champion on arrival, piercing their heart and causing a destructive shockwave around them that knocks away their allies.
